Iowa Fans Got Out of California Just in Time

Last week in southern California, Iowa fans were preparing for the Rose Bowl under sunny skies. Californians were all talking about what was on the state's doorstep for this week. It has arrived.

It was sunny all week for Iowa fans, even during the Rose Bowl though Iowa fans disposition was definitely less bright during those three-plus hours. Southern Californians were both anxious and nervous about the forecast. Up to five inches of rain was forecast to fall over several days due to El Nino. The rain has come and obviously, some of the nervousness was warranted as some parts of California are already dealing with flooding rains. Residents of California are reacting in very different ways on social media. We wish them all the best. They were terrific hosts, except for a certain band and football team.
