Just a couple of years ago, I took my dad to see Glen Campbell perform at Riverside Casino.  My dad grew up with Glen's music.  I discovered it while working in the world of country radio.  As we watched him glide through hits like Galveston, By The Time I Get to Phoenix and more, we both realized that we were witnessing something special.  Who knows how much longer Glen would be out touring.  Turns out, we were right.

Several year later, Glen announced he was suffering from Alzheimer's disease, and eventually had to stop touring.  Just this past week, he was placed into a care facility where he can have constant supervision.  A sad turn in the life of a brilliant performer.

Today, April 22nd,  is Glen Campbell's 77th birthday.  The Wichita Lineman is my favorite country song of all time.  Here's wishing Glen a happy birthday, and many more to follow.
