Facebook Reaches a Huge Milestone

Did you log onto your Facebook account on Monday? If you did, you're one of  ONE BILLION people.

For the first time ever, one billion people logged onto Facebook in the same day. That's 1 in every 7 people in the world! THAT'S INSANE. It was confirmed by Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerburg in a Facebook post this week. He said, "This was the first time we reached this milestone, and it's just the beginning of connecting the whole world." He added, "I'm so proud of our community for the progress we've made. Our community stands for giving every person a voice, for promoting understanding and for including everyone in the opportunities of our modern world."

Wow. One BILLION people. Facebook really has done so much to impact social media and technology in general. Even though I complain about it a lot, I'm still happy to be a part of it!
