Eastern Iowa Restaurants Offering Free Meals for Vets This Week

Veterans in the Corridor can eat for free at several area restaurants this weekend!

Let's start with Sally's on Broadway in Springville. Yesterday (November 7th), owner Sally Deeb announced on Facebook that Sally's on Broadway will be celebrating Veterans Day this weekend with a special deal. On Friday and Saturday, veterans will be able to enjoy the restaurant's all-you-can-eat dinner buffet... for FREE. The buffet will be available on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sally's on Broadway isn't the only local restaurant honoring veterans this weekend! The Pedaler's Fork in Cedar Rapids is also offering a free meal for vets on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Options include Meat Loaf & Mac, Prime Rib French Dip, or a Chicken Sandwich.

There are also a few free breakfast options for vets this weekend. Metro Harley-Davidson Suzuki Can-Am in Cedar Rapids is hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Vets eat for free, while family and friends can enjoy the breakfast for a free-will donation.

And then there's Hy-Vee. At select stores, veterans can enjoy a free dine-in breakfast on Friday, November 10th from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Veterans and service members will also receive 15% off grocery purchases that day. Participating Hy-Vee stores in the Cedar Rapids area include:

And finally, The Inn Restaurant & Bar (formerly Miguel's) will offer a free breakfast to veterans on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 175 Jacolyn Drive NW in Cedar Rapids.
