There were a LOT of tears this weekend. I watched another movie off of my movie list, and this one was very sad and very long!

The first thing I have to say about the movie is that it was SO long. The longest movie I've ever seen! At the 2 hours point I was like, there's no way this is going to end anytime soon. But, despite the length, I will definitely say that it was FANTASTIC. One of the longest movies I've ever seen, but also one of the best. How could it NOT be though? It has Tom Hanks!

All of the acting in this movie was phenomenal. John Coffey (like the drink, only not spelled the same) is probably one of my favorite movie characters ever. When he died I cried so hard that I couldn't see through my tears. It was not pretty. My other favorite character in the movie? Obviously Mr. Jingles. I knew that terrible Percy was going to kill him. I KNEW IT. But the joke is on him, because Mr. Jingles is alive and he's not. Ugh, I hated him so much. I wanted to punch him in the face for 100% of the movie. Naturally, I also hated Wild Bill and his digusting teeth. The scenes with him misbehaving and then getting dragged into the padded room were some of my favorites. Hilarious!

Scenes that made me cry: when Percy stepped on Mr. Jingles, when John Coffey healed Melinda, and pretty much everything after that until the end of the movie. I was a mess.

The last thing I'll mention that I really loved about The Green Mile was how everything tied together. At first I was like, why does he keep talking about a bladder infection? What does that have to do with anything? Who is this guy's wife and why is her sickness important to the story? Who is this Wild Bill guy? Is he just in here to annoy me? When everything finally came full circle I was really impressed.

I'm looking for another classic movie to watch next week, so leave me your suggestions below!
