Courtlin Chopped All Her Hair Off [PHOTOS]

I said I was going to do it... and I did it! Yesterday I went to a salon and made some drastic changes to my hair.

I had a dream last week that I cut my hair and dyed it brown, and I woke up and I just couldn't get the idea out of my head. My natural hair color is dirty blonde, so I've been blonde for my entire life. Sure, I've thrown some ombre in there, a few purple highlights, but never anything like this. I've also been growing out my hair since middle school, but lately I just haven't been able to handle it. It's hot, it's stringy, and it takes FOREVER to style. That's why I finally decided to make the cut.

This was not the easiest of decisions, and I was really nervous. I don't think men really understand the attachment a lot of women have to their hair. My hair is my baby! It didn't help that I was not familiar with any hair stylists in Iowa, and the same woman has been doing my hair back in Michigan since I was 5. So I took a recommendation from a friend and headed out to Iowa City yesterday, ALONE, where I had it all chopped off. It took 4 and a half hours!

Now, I am going to have more blonde put in the bottom to make it appear slightly ombre, but this is it for now! Here are the before and after photos:
