The Buffalo Bills have made Kathyrn Smith the first full-time female coach in NFL history. Smith is the quality control special teams coach for Buffalo. She has a long history of working with Bills head coach Rex Ryan. Before they both came to Buffalo, the two worked together in New York when Ryan coached the Jets. She becomes the latest female to break the gender barrier in proffesional sports leagues. In 2014 Beck Hammon was hired as an assistant with the NBA's San Antonio Spurs. Last month, MLB's Seatle Mariners hired Amanda Hopkins as a talent scout.
