Brantley Gilbert has a new outlook on life since the birth of his son Barrett. But that softer side certainly hides a bit when he takes the stage! Brantley's 'The Ones Who Like Me' Tour hit the U.S. Cellular Center Thursday night. What else would you expect from Brantley Gilbert? It was a night of high energy, flag-waving, and country-rock at it's finest!

Openers Josh Phillips and former Staind frontman Aaron Lewis set the stage for Brantley's blistering set. Gilbert played several cuts off his latest album, 'The Devil Don't Sleep' including his current single 'The Ones Who Like Me' and 'The Weekend'. He also played his other big hits like 'Stone Cold Sober', 'Kick It In The Sticks', and of course 'Bottoms Up' and 'One Hell Of An Amen'. It was loud, arena rock-country music that the crowd ate up!

It's no secret that Brantley is a huge supporter of veteran's causes and our military. It was only natural that an Army enlistment ceremony took place before last night's show got started. Twelve brave men and women stood on stage and took the oath of service. It was a powerful moment, as the crowd recognized the sacrifice and service they were undertaking. Backstage before the show, I had a chance to speak with Sgt. Weed with the Cedar Rapids Army Recruitment office about the upcoming ceremony.

Fans of traditional country and rock went home happy last night. A big thanks to Brantley Gilbert for coming back to Cedar Rapids and rocking the U.S. Cellular Center! The show, plus a cool moment with our military, made it a night to remember!
