Brantley Gilbert Rowdies Up the Taste of Country Music Festival Crowd [Pictures]
Not many artists can break hearts and stir up trouble quite like Brantley Gilbert. The 'Small Town Throwdown' singer brought his brand of country music to the Taste of Country Music Festival on Friday night, playing 21 songs to over 10,000 screaming fans.
"Enthusiastic" might be an understatement. Fans near the front of the stage hung on every word from the Georgia native's lips. He started his show with 'Kick It in the Sticks,' 'Hell on Wheels' and 'My Kinda Party.' He barely let up, until a three-song acoustic medley halfway through the show.
'Picture on the Dashboard' proceeded 'My Kinda Crazy,' a song Gilbert dedicated to the men of the audience, saying it'd help them with the ladies on this overcast night. The rain pushed aside by the time the performances began, but Gilbert brought the thunder with 'Take It Outside,' 'Bad Boy' and 'Read Me My Rights.'
The encore included a cover of Bon Jovi's 'Wanted Dead or Alive,' and his very first No. 1 hit 'Country Must Be Country Wide.' Earlier he played the two singles from his new 'Just As I Am' album, 'Bottoms Up' and 'Small Town Throwdown.' Check out pictures and video from the show below.
