Brain Gets to Try an Authentic Paczki!

Last week was Fat Tuesday, and I told Brain about a Polish pastry that is very popular back in Michigan - the paczki. We call Fat Tuesday "Paczki Day" back in Detroit, and I didn't realize that Iowans don't know what that means! We tried to find authentic paczkis here in Iowa, but we didn't have any luck... until today! Our listener Lisa brought us homemade paczkis from a Polish recipe, filled with Michigan cherries! Here is a picture of what a REAL paczki looks like... fried in lard and all. Yummmm!
