I'm a huge fan of film.  I love old movies, new movies.  But there is only ONE director who's films I collect.  David Fincher.  Whether you're a fan of Fight Club, The Social Network or The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Fincher's work is unmistakeable.  His attention to detail is unmatched, his vision crisp and clean to view on the screen.  His latest film is the adaptation of the novel Gone Girl, and hits theaters on Friday.  My wife and I already have our tickets.  In honor of the new movie, here are my 3 Fincher favorites.

3.  The Game (1997)  The movie features Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.  Penn buys his brother the gift of a "game" that promises to change Douglas' life for the better.  But what happens next blurs the line between fantasy and reality.

2.  Se7en (1995)  Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are police detectives on the track of a serial killer carrying out the seven deadly sins.  This movies features one of the best suprise endings of all time!

1.  Zodiac (2007)  Fincher's finest work.  The film was improperly promoted as something similar to Se7en.  But instead of gore and blood, you get dread and paranoia.  Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo give top notch performances.
