There comes a certain point in most adult's lives that the partying comes to a halt.  You get married, you buy a house, you have kids.  Basically, life gets crazy.  I've been trying to stay in touch with old friends a bit more, and one of the ways that we do that is schedule a "guy's night" out.  Just whenever we all get a weekend that syncs up with our schedules, we get together for dinner, drinks and whatever else the night might have in store.  We never get too crazy, we're all married after all, but this weekend saw something happen that I haven't done since my 20's.  I closed a bar.

Our group hit a few local bars, and then ended up at Hazzard County in downtown Cedar Rapids.  By the way, if you had any doubts about the younger demographic loving country music, you need to check out Hazzard on a weekend.  It was packed, and everyone was singing along to every song.  I have to admit, I'm not a dancer.  I'm more likely to just hang out and watch everyone else.  Our group hung out for awhile, and before you knew it....it was last call.  Wait, what time was it?  Did this old man just stay out til closing time?  Yep.  Chalk one up for the over 40 crowd!

Did I pay for my sins Sunday morning?  Of course!  There's a reason I don't go out and do that every weekend.  Actually, there are quite a few!  But it's nice to know the 20 year old in me hasn't completely dissapeared yet!
