The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department reports that a body was found overnight.

According to KWWL, the body of a woman was discovered in the Wapsipinicon River, around two miles from the town of Littleton, in Buchanan County. The identity of the woman is not known. Her body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says they've been looking for a missing 47-year-old woman, named Rhonda Apfel, since May 28. Apfel, of Waterloo, was reported missing near the Wapsipinicon River. KWWL previously reported that family members said she had gone on a motorcycle ride. Her motorcycle was found near the river, with the key still in the ignition. Her shoes, socks, and jacket were found by the water.
