It's hard to believe that we're halfway through the racing season here in Iowa. Between rainouts and freezing cold temperatures, some tracks have only ran four times this season. This weekend looks to be hot and dry and I'm ready for it.

So far this season, we've had the car out just three times. This weekend will be a double header and I'm looking forward to it. We'll be racing Saturday night at the Independence Motor Speedway and Sunday night at Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway. Both tracks hold a special place in my heart as I grew up watching my Dad race at Independence and that's where I won my very first late model feature. Dubuque is one of those tracks that I've had success at, but have never found victory lane. We've lead a lot of races there only to finish 2nd or have something break while leading. We finished 2nd in points there in 2003 and never won a race. I would like to cross that off my bucket list.

If you're at the races, please stop by and say hi.
