As an ex-retailer worker and an avid shopper, I can tell you right now, Black Friday shopping isn't as awful as everyone makes it out to be. Unless you're crazy enough to wait in line for 2 weeks outside in the cold. Then I can't help you. But I do have some tips for an easy Black Friday experience! Here are a few:

1. If you're going to go to a store right as it's opening, you're going to experience some heavy shopper traffic due to doorbusters and big sales. So, if you're not aiming for those crazy, huge deals, wait until a little later in the day when the crowd begins to clear out. If you ARE going for one of those $200 50 inch TV's, good luck to you, my friend.

2. Know what you want and do your research. A lot of places claim to have huge deals, but it doesn't hurt to look through ALL the fliers before you make your decision. And when going out to shop, it helps to know exactly what you're looking for so you can get in and out as quickly as possible. Having the flier with the deal listed on it actually WITH you also might be helpful.

3. Don't run over anyone with your shopping cart! No, but seriously, be polite and considerate to the people around you, especially the employees working their butts off. If you're nice to people, it's better for everyone.

Happy shopping :)
