Brain Says Goodbye To Longtime Partner And Friend, Wishes Him Well

It was a good run. Friday marked the end of an era.My great friend Scott Steele said goodbye to the KHAK morning show. Scott is moving on to another opportunity -- one that will allow him to sleep in more than the life of a morning show host does! He's excited to start a new chapter, and we wish him nothing but the best!

Scott and I worked together for 7 and half years. We saw each other more than we saw our wives!  And, like any marriage, we had our ups and downs. But at the end of the day we balanced each other out. Scott was often loud and brash where I'm more laid back. He was a rocker and I've got a bit more twang. That's what made it work. What I'll miss most is the part that listeners never got to see -- the early mornings before the show even started. We'd hang out and swap stories. Scott would update me on what Chilli had been up to and I'd share more antics from my kids. At the heart of it all, we were friends and I'm happy to say we always will be.

Scott also taught me how to approach the job. No matter how you feel, no matter what is going on in your life, you should always work hard, smile and have fun. Scott came to work many days when he felt awful because of his treatments -- days that all of us would have spent in bed. But not Steele. There was a show to do!

My mornings will be a bit different from now on. But, the search is on for someone to join me on the KHAK morning show and, believe me, they have some pretty big shoes to fill!
