98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Salutes Tony Zieser

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an eastern Iowa First Responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Tony Zieser, who was nominated by his son Hunter! The entry reads:

"My dad has spent the last 30 years as a first responder/firefighter for the Ryan Fire Department. He has left many sporting events and family dinners because he wanted to help out the community that raised him, many times for hours on end or in the middle of the night. As a 2nd generation firefighter, he has earned everyone's respect as one of the true heroes of our generation. He is an example of what it means to be a firefighter."
