98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Salutes Drew Haag

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an eastern Iowa First Responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Drew Haag, who was nominated by Devin Arduser! The entry reads:

"Drew has dedicated his life to helping others. He is a second-generation volunteer firefighter who has been a part of the Monticello Volunteer Fire Department for more than 10 years. He has advanced his firefighting career by becoming a career firefighter for the city of Marion. He takes pride in his work and treats everyone he encounters with the utmost respect. He has continued to give back by working for the City of Monticello Ambulance Service on his off days from Marion Fire. Between Monticello Fire, Marion Fire, and the Monticello Ambulance Service, Drew keeps himself very busy giving back to his communities!"
