It's easy to fall into routines in life, but especially so in the workplace. The fact that you clicked into this article could be your first sign that you are unhappy with your job. But don't worry, a lot of people are. Whether you're just starting to realize you might need to make a career change, or you've been miserable at your workplace for weeks, it's never too late to make the job switch. We've created a list of the top 5 signs that you should be looking for a new job, just in time for the Digital Career Fair!

1.) The only thing you do with your co-workers is complain.
In an ideal work situation, you would view your co-workers as bright, intelligent people who are there to help you bounce innovative ideas off of, all with the purpose of furthering your product. If instead you find yourself commiserating your job or management rather than making progress in your work through your interactions with them, then it's probably time to move on.

2.) You wake up angry in anticipation of the day ahead.
If you are completely satisfied with your job, then waking up for your 40-hour work week should not inspire anger. If anything, this should feel like a privilege. Of course everyone has bad days, no matter how content they are with their place in life, but if you are regularly experiencing bitterness and dread, and you feel like you're job is the source of these feelings, then start looking elsewhere.

3.) You're bored.
People who love their jobs don't spend their days watching the clock, much less reading about signs that they might need a new job. They are spending their days doing what they're passionate about, and are therefore too busy to be watching the clock. If your days start to feel like they are never-ending, it might be time to get on those job boards.

4.) You're finding more and more to dislike about your boss.
Chances are, your boss isn't that terrible of a guy or girl. It's probably the job that's getting to you. You might find yourself taking it out on your higher-ups more often than appreciating them as co-workers and as people. That might be a good sign that it's time to start looking for work elsewhere, before your resentment festers any longer.

5.) You don't care.
We aren't saying that your greatest passion in life and your career should (or will) line up perfectly, that's just unrealistic. However, you should be able to talk about what you do at work without sounding bitter or disinterested. This is where you spend the majority of your time during the day, and you're really going to settle for doing something you don't care about at all? If you can't find any interest or passion in your job, you should consider the switch to a position that you do care a little more about.

Do any of these sound like you? Well then check out our Digital Career Fair sponsored by Modine Manufacturing and see if your dream job awaits!
