20 Years Later…Washed Up
This past Saturday, I did something I hadn't done in over TWENTY years. I went to the laundromat. When I was in college, going to the laundromat was something I actually enjoyed. There are a couple of reasons I think I liked going to the laundromat back then. The first was that they had a video game there called "Mr. Do." In between loads I'd crank out 10-15 games in one sitting - a bottle of Mt Dew on one side of me and a bag of Funyuns on the other. Oh yeah, there were also the smokin' hot girls from school who would also come to the laundromat. There's nothing like watching a sorority girl sort her "unmentionables" to a 20 year old guy.
Nothing like that happened this past Saturday morning. I was the only one in the place and there wasn't a video game to be found. I sat and drank a milk while reading the paper waiting for our HUGE comforter to finish spinning and drying. Man have laundromats changed.
