Zac Brown Band stopped by the Today show plaza early Tuesday morning (May 16) for the Citi Concert Series. Country fans lined up en masse to catch the eight-piece country rockers perform several songs off their latest album Welcome Home, and the band didn't disappoint.

While being interviewed by the morning show hosts, including Hoda Kotb rocking her ZBB shirt, frontman Zac Brown discussed why their fifth studio album is the band's most personal project yet.

"We had never written all the songs for one project before," he says. "We just had a collection of songs that we put together and put the best ones on the album."

Welcome Home was recorded over six days in the studio, and Brown says it's the band's voices and stories that have them coming back to their roots. Prefacing their three-song set, Brown thanked their fans for their support.

"I'm always reminded how blessed we are, every time we get to come out on stage. "I feel a lot of love from all of you and we love to give it back," he adds.

Watch Brown and company perform their latest single "My Old Man" above, and their most recent No. 1 hit, "Homegrown," below. The band also gave a performance of the opening track to their album, "Roots," while on the plaza.

Zac Brown Band's latest album, Welcome Home, is out now. The 10-track project also includes a duet with Kacey Musgraves. The two country acts perform a cover of John Prine's "All the Best."
