When you think of great BBQ food in Cedar Rapids, many of you will shout out the name Willie Ray! And when you think of generosity and helping those in need, very few people help more than Willie Ray. If you're a fan of Willie Ray's Q Shack on Blairs Ferry Road in Cedar Rapids but wish he served his amazing food at another location...you're in luck!

You can't miss Willie Ray's Q Shack at 266 Blairs Ferry Road NE in Cedar Rapids. The white shack serves drive-through orders and you can sit and enjoy your meal inside of his brick-and-mortar store. But the Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that Willie Ray is taking his BBQ food to the southwest side of town!

Willie Ray's Q Shack recently announced they will begin serving food at the Shell Gas Station at 5340 16th Ave. SW, near the intersection of 16th Ave. SW and West Post Road SW according to the Gazette. A sign at that location says that food will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. So when will the new location be officially open? There is no official date yet, but Willie Ray provided this update on his Facebook page yesterday.

So perhaps next week you'll be able to enjoy some BBQ from Willie Ray on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids! No matter when it opens, we know that the food is worth the wait! And you can also be sure that whenever the need arises locally, or across the nation, Willie Ray is never afraid to spring into action and help those in need.
