Bored drivers looking for trouble are on the loose this week in Eastern Iowa.

There was quite a bit of action reported Wednesday night in Northeast Cedar Rapids, after a driver led Linn County Sheriff's deputies on a chase between the town of Center Point and the area around Dunkin' Donuts on Blairs Ferry Rd.

Around 11:30 p.m., KCRG says a deputy saw three vehicles driving recklessly in Fross Park in Center Point. Officers tried to stop all three who then high-tailed it. The driver of one of the vehicles, reportedly a blue Ford Escape, further led police into Cedar Rapids.

That driver went off the road at C Avenue and Old Marion Road. The vehicle then went into a tree line behind the Linn County Extension building. He then left the vehicle and the chase continued on foot. It turns out the Escape in question was a reportedly stolen vehicle from a Center Point home, and the suspect has yet to be found as of this writing.

An investigation is still ongoing and no more information than this is yet available. We will keep you posted when it is.  Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Coralville suspect named Daniel Hodges was nabbed Wednesday in two different police chases and on several other charges. His incidents are not currently reported as being related to last night's in Cedar Rapids.
