Villa’s Patio in Marion has Started to Rebuild After Fire
Good news for Mexican food-lovers in Marion! The popular restaurant Villa's Patio has begun the rebuild process after a fire earlier this summer shut them down.
On June 29th, the official Villa's Patio Facebook page posted this message:
"We had a fire this morning and will be closed till we get everything back up and running. Will post more information once we know more. Thank you and see you soon amigos!"
The Marion Fire Department responded to the fire around 7 a.m., and they confirmed that there were no people inside the building at the time and no injuries. CBS 2 reported that "the fire was contained in the kitchen area but the entire building suffered smoke damage."
Since June 29th, Villa's has given no updates on the situation or details on the cause of the fire... until now. On Friday the restaurant posted this to their Facebook:
"Thank you everyone for all the support! We are now beginning the rebuild process. They are projecting us back up and running around September or October time frame. Once we know more we will keep posting updates."
We are VERY happy to hear that the restaurant will be opening up for business once again, even if we have to wait a couple of months. We miss their nachos!
