Tyrese Haliburton Goes Home to Hilton for Romantic Engagement

Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrses Haliburton met his girlfriend, Jade Jones, while both were students at Iowa State University in Ames. It only made sense that Haliburton would return to Ames to surprise the love of his life.

People reports that Tyrese and Jade met at ISU in 2019. Haliburton was playing basketball, while Jade had previously been a cheerleader. In April, the couple celebrated six years together as a couple.

Haliburton had an NBA season to remember, leading the Indiana Pacers all the way to the NBA Finals in June. Sadly, Tyrese suffered a torn Achilles in Game 7, ending the Pacers' chances at a title and sidelining Haliburton for the entire upcoming NBA season.

But basketball was the last thing on the couple's mind on Monday! The couple returned to Ames and the Iowa State campus, where Tyrese had a huge surprise waiting for his sweetheart. People reports that Haliburton surprised Jade with a proposal at center court at Hilton Coliseum!

Sure, the walking boot that Haliburton is wearing sticks out a bit, but clearly Jade's answer was yes! The couple then posed for several more pictures on the ISU campus.

Congratulations to Tyrese and Jade! No official wedding date has been set. Will that be held in Iowa, too?
