At a pre-caucus Donald Trump rally in Iowa City, one of the protesters thought he'd get some additional attention by throwing tomatoes. The Secret Service didn't appreciate that move. Andrew Alemao, 28, was arrested during the late-January rally and has pleaded guilty.

Alemao, of Iowa City, will pay a $65 fine and as part of the plea deal, the state of Iowa will not proceed with assault charges. The maximum punishments for the charge could have been 30 days in jail or a $625 fine.

In the end, they both got off fairly easily. Donald Trump, because Alemao missed, and Mr. Alemao threw items at a politician and only got a $65 fine. Still, it's still a very poor idea.
