A train derailment in Cedar County this morning has closed Highway 38 in Stanwood, in both directions. You can see photos of the derailment below.

According to CBS 2's Jenee' Ryan, the derailment happened at approximately 5:10 Thursday morning. No one was injured. A Facebook post from Bob Klemme indicates as many as 35 coal cars and two engines were involved in the derailment.

The Cedar County Sheriff's Department has been on the scene, along with several agencies assessing the situation. The highway will likely be closed for a lengthy period of time today.
