Thomas Rhett and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Electrify Thanksgiving Halftime Show
Thomas Rhett performed an electrified halftime show at the Nov. 23 Thanksgiving Day NFL game at Arlington, Texas' AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys took on the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Cowboys were down to L.A. at halftime, but you'd never know it from the spirited performance Rhett provided. The 27-year-old singer delivered a medley of his hits with eye-catching accompaniment -- a dancing squad of the famous Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, plus sparkling pyrotechnics.
Rhett's performance was announced earlier this month by the NFL. “Watching the Cowboys game is such a tradition on Thanksgiving Day,” Rhett said in a press release. “It’s all about being together with family and friends, but this year is going to be a little different for us. I’m pumped that we get to pack up the whole family to go to Dallas for the halftime show…it’s going to be blast and helping do it for a good cause makes it even better."
The "good cause" Rhett refers to is the fact that the show marks the kickoff of the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign, which helps provide shelter and meals for the homeless and the hungry, as well as Christmas toys for children in need.
