Thomas Rhett Bringing 2022 Tour to Quad Cities
Thomas Rhett, it's been a while. We've missed you. Welcome back!
That was the first thing that came to mind when I got word earlier this week that Thomas Rhett was bringing his new tour to our area in 2022. Just how long has it been? Thomas played the Great Jones County Fair in 2017, the Iowa State Fair in 2018, and Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines in the summer of 2019. It's about time we had him back.
Over the last three years he's been away, you could argue that Rhett has been one of the hottest acts in country music. He now has 18 songs that have hit the top of the country charts. And that family of his? I can't put a gigantic heart emoji into this story, but we all love 'em.
This morning, Rhett officially unveiled plans for the "Bring the Bar to You Tour". It will launch on June 17 and will crisscross the country before making a stop at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline on October 13, the final week of the tour. Rhett is bringing a couple of special guests along.
He'll be joined for the Thursday night show Texas-hitmaker Parker McCollum, whose current song "To Be Loved By You" is in the Top 10.
Also part of the Moline stop is Conner Smith. The Nashville native was signed to BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) as a writer when he was 9 years old. Yes, nine. Now in his early 20s, he's putting his own voice behind the songs he writes in Music City USA.
