There’s a New Vegan Restaurant in Cedar Rapids [PHOTOS]

The Newbo District is home to a new restaurant that will have vegetarians and vegans excited!

Rawlicious, a new vegan cafe, is officially open for business at 1101 3rd St SE in Cedar Rapids inside DelveMIY. The restaurant is run by Jessica Lafayette, an native-Iowan and certified Raw Culinary Arts Associate Chef and Instructor. According to their website, Jessica graduated from Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, California.

The menu offers a wide-variety of options, all of which are served raw. Jessica told KWWL, "We don't heat anything above 115 degrees so that keeps the maximum nutrition." They have salads, wraps, sandwiches, tacos, juices, smoothies and even dessert. “I want people to know healthy can taste delicious, and that it’s not just lettuce,” Jessica told The Gazette.

Rawlicious is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Check out their menu HERE.
