The Story Behind An Awkward Christmas Photo!
The Nightmare Before Christmas. Yes, it's the title of a popular Tim Burton movie, but its also what my wife called the above photo of my kids this weekend. Yep, that's my son Chase painted like a skeleton next to Santa Claus. Jolly old St. Nick looks terrified! So why the face paint?
My wife's employer has a holiday party every year geared towards kids. Employees can bring their kids in for crafts, gifts and a sit down with Santa Claus himself. One of this year's most popular activities was the face painting station. My daughters chose things like a rainbow and a ladybug. My son wanted something a little more dramatic. So, the painter gave him a skeleton face. When I saw Chase's face I told him he was 2 months late for Halloween. But when I saw this picture I laughed out loud. What a ridiculously funny and awkward holiday photo!
Merry Christmas!
