The Rocky Horror Picture Show is Still On at NewBo City Market

The coronavirus pandemic can't stop Dr. Frank-N-Furter from taking over Cedar Rapids this month! Tickets are on sale now for the Rocky Horror Picture Show at NewBo City Market.

Instead of the usual one-night-only event, this year's Rocky Horror Picture Show at NewBo will happen over the course of two nights. Those dates are Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th. The festivities will take place beginning at 8:30 p.m. with doors opening at 8 p.m.

In addition to the show, the Facebook event page says:

"There will be a costume contest and drink specials from NewBo Beer and Wine. We’ll also provide the props (included with your ticket purchase), so pull on those fishnets and bring your best voice for this great Halloween classic!"

Let's run down some of the rules for this year's events. First of all, a face-covering will be required throughout the market, but you can remove it when you're seated at your own table. Plenty of shops will be selling food and beverages, so no outside snacks are allowed. Oh, and anyone under the age of 17 will have to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

In order to maintain social distancing, the 2020 tickets are being sold by table. A table for up to two people is $40, a table for up to four people is $80, and a table for up to six people is $100. It looks like tickets for the October 24th show are nearly sold out, but there are still quite a few tables available for October 23rd. You can purchase your table before they sell out HERE.
