That was fast!

Back in early June, we told you that Aces & Eights, a popular bar in the Czech Village, was closing its doors for good. The final day of business for Aces & Eights was June 12th, but the former owners haven't been taking any time off! According to Facebook, their new business venture North Point Bar & Grill has officially opened its doors.

North Point Bar & Grill is now open at 621 Center Point Road NE, and it's located right across from Home Port, another Cedar Rapids bar. The building most recently housed Foxhole "Charlie" Bar & Grill, which closed permanently this spring. It was also home to the Max Betenbender Military Exhibition Hall, which means that North Point has a TON of space.

As you can see from the photo, North Point offers food, drinks, music, and games. Owner Mike Flack said on Facebook that they are open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., with the full menu offered until 10 p.m. It appears that they are also planning to offer breakfast in the future, too!

Much like Aces & Eights, North Point will offer karaoke on Friday nights, plus live music from local bands in the future. They have also announced that every Monday and Wednesday are Cup Nights! If you buy the $5 cup, you can get $2 refills on Busch Light and $2 well drinks from 8 p.m. to midnight.

If you loved Aces & Eights in the Czech Village, there's a good chance you'll love North Point! Get the latest updates from the new bar/restaurant on Facebook HERE.
