The Fast Food Restaurants With the Dirtiest Bathrooms

You may want to avoid these fast food joints if you need to make a quick bathroom stop!

I do quite a bit of driving from Iowa to Michigan, so at this point, I have my routine pretty much down. I typically stop at the same places when I need to take a quick bathroom break, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. I can't tell you how many awful fast food/gas station bathrooms I've had to endure over the past few years, but when you gotta go, you gotta go!

Restaurant Business Online released a list of the cleanest and dirtiest bathrooms when it comes to fast food restaurants, and, unfortunately, not a single one ranked higher than 65%. There were some that definitely did better than others, though.

The #1 cleanest bathrooms on average were at Culvers and Chick-fil-A, both with a score of 65%. Here are the rest of the top 5:

• Potbelly Sandwich Shop - 58.4%
• Whataburger - 57.8%
• Caribou Coffee - 57.7%

On the other hand, the dirtiest bathrooms on average are located at Sonic. They received a score of 30.1%. Maybe that's because it's a drive-in, so they don't expect people to be using their restrooms? I don't' know, it's just a theory. Here are the rest of the bottom 5:

• Popeyes - 33.7%
• Little Caesars - 33.8%
• McDonald's - 35.3%
• Jack in the Box - 35.6%
