Circle of Ash Haunted Attraction is located on the Linn County Fairgrounds in Central City. The Ash has been scaring people for over 15 years. It features three premiere frightful attractions, including the Frightmare Forest and big house. Tickets are on sale, but only available online. The 5th Realm is a nearby haunted attraction located inside the Lindale Mall. It was named one of America's Scariest by Scaryoverload.com and is getting some great reviews online. You can get tickets in advance and save time when you buy them online.

Scream Acres is the haunted attraction that's been part of the popular Bloomsbury Farm experience for years.  Located near Atkins, the Scream Acres website spotlights their three indoor haunts including Cell Block Z, the Sinister Silo, and the Slaughterhouse. Yikes! Get your tickets online here.

Marengo Haunted Barn is located at 1694 US Hwy 6 Trail, Ladora. The Haunted Barn is open every Friday and Saturday night in October. 7pm-11:30pm. Proof that small town scares can be just as frightful as those at bigger locations, this trip is an inexpensive $10 per person, and you'll receive a $2 discount with a donation of a non-perishable food item.

Edinburgh Manor is a very creepy locale that was built over 100 years ago in 1911. It is best known as the old Jones County Poor Farm. It was a place for the homeless and mentally ill. Not a typical haunted house, most guests prefer to explore the site's freaky paranormal activity. The now-abandoned building is open by appointment only and is located at 13241 E23 County Home Rd. Scotch Grove, Iowa.
