The Best Ramen in Iowa is Here in the Corridor [PHOTOS]
When you hear the word "ramen," you probably think of those plastic orange bags of noodles you ate a bunch in college. This is NOT that!
A new article from Love Food takes a look at some of the most delicious ramen restaurants in all 50 states, and if you're looking for the best ramen in Iowa, look no further than Ramen Belly. Located at 1010 Martin Street in Iowa City, Ramen Belly is a relatively new business in the Corridor. It just opened in April of 2021, but over the course of the past year, it's become an area favorite. According to the article from Love Food:
"Ramen Belly's perfect Yelp score is a testament to its delicious food and comfy interiors, which have traditional Japanese-style accents. The signature House Ramen is the main event. It has a pork and miso broth base, which has been cooked for 24 hours, and you can choose to add pork, beef brisket or moreish grilled chicken, layered up with baby bok choy, sweetcorn and beansprouts."
Ramen Belly does, in fact, have a perfect five-star review on Yelp, and on Facebook, as well! The official website describes the restaurant as, "a small quaint ramen shop featuring traditional Japanese cuisine such as ramen, poke bowls, donburi, and dumplings." In addition to the House Ramen, Ramen Belly also serves Abura Ramen and Ramen in a Blanket. Everything on their Facebook page looks delicious!
Ramen Belly in Iowa City is open Monday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can check out their menu and more on the website HERE.
