The Associated Press Top 25 Rankings Have Arrived

Football season is almost upon us! The Iowa Hawkeyes will kick off the season in Iowa City on August 31st against Miami of Ohio, while the Iowa State Cyclones will play in Ames that very same day against the University of Northern Iowa. If you're a fan of either team, you'll be happy to know that they are BOTH ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Preseason Poll!

According to CBS2, the two rivals are neck and neck. The Hawkeyes came in at number 20, while the Cyclones were number 21. This is actually a big deal for Iowa State, because it's only the second time they've made the top 25. Both teams were also included in the Amway Coaches Poll from early August, with Iowa at number 19 and Iowa State at number 24.
