The Artists We Wish We Could’ve Seen Live When We Were Kids
I don't know about you, but when I was a kid, I loved music just as much as I do now. I had a KILLER CD collection, and I would listen to the radio all day just to record my favorite songs onto blank cassettes. As an adult, I have been to a ton of concerts. I couldn't even count them if I tried! But when I was young, I just didn't get those opportunities.
Last week, a photo surfaced of all five of the Spice Girls together. Rumors began circulating about a Spice Girls reunion tour, and I was ecstatic. The Spice Girls were my favorite group when I was younger, so I feel like I would be fulfilling a childhood dream by seeing them live in concert. Unfortunately, that won't be happening, because Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) crushed all of my dreams in a recent interview with Vogue. She said that it was great to reunite with all the girls, but there isn't going to be a tour. Whatever, Posh, I'm still holding out hope.
This got us talking about the groups and artists that we wish we could've seen when we were kids. There's just something so magical about seeing your favorite musicians in their prime, and not all of us get to experience that in our lifetimes. Here are some of the groups and artists that Eastern Iowans wish they could've seen live during their childhood:
