Experts are saying that at least four tornadoes touched down in central Iowa late Saturday claiming seven lives and damaged more than 50 homes.

It's the only large-scale twister ever to hit the state in October.

Last week's derecho took out half of the tree canopy in Cedar Rapids and Marion.

Damage to schools from last week's storm have further complicated back to school plans in Cedar Rapids.
