downtown Cedar rapids

I did a double take walking through downtown recently, as a popular restaurant has returned.

I managed to squeeze in another new restaurant this weekend, bringing my total for the year to eight!

The Cedar Rapids downtown, New Bo District and Czech Village areas are all getting back to order with shops, stores and restaurants re-opening.

Downtown Cedar Rapids has changed a lot in the last 30 years. The proof is in this TV commercial from 1986.

The sound of construction will soon be heard in two different spots in downtown Cedar Rapids as four different storefronts will look different inside, outside, or both.
