Chronic Wasting Disease

Cases of chronic wasting disease are heavier in south central Iowa. There are also reports of the disease in Winneshiek, Fayette, Allamakee, and Clayton Counties.

The Iowa DNR is taking steps to make sure the disease doesn't spread to more counties.

A deer shot in Marion that was reported to be 'sick' did NOT have the suspected illness.
