I AM JUMPING FOR JOY!

Taco Bell has apparently realized they made a huge mistake last year! Last summer, they announced a new "menu revamp," and, unfortunately, it meant the removal of a bunch of beloved items. We lost the 7-Layer Burrito, the Grilled Steak Soft Taco, and every single item that included potatoes. And if that wasn't bad enough, Taco Bell announced a SECOND round of cuts later in the year, and with that one we lost shredded chicken and the Mexican Pizza.

Well, Taco Bell is finally ready to right some of its wrongs. According to a new article from CNN, a couple of the removed items will be making a return in the next few months. Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco will return to menus on March 11th!

Taco Bell initially cut potatoes and the rest of those eliminated menu items to make things easier for employees during the pandemic and help keep drive-thru lines short, but the talking potato (aka Taco Bell CEO Mark King) on Taco Bell's Instagram story says, "it's a new year with new possibilities." The story also notes that Taco Bell will be "going big" on their vegetarian menu.

I was very upset when Taco Bell announced they were removing potatoes from their menu. I had recently discovered the Loaded Potato Grillers and they were my absolute favorite menu item. Although those aren't included in the list of returning potato items right now, there is still hope. A spokesperson for Taco Bell told CNN that they're "planning to debut more potato items eventually." So for now, I'll just enjoy my Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes. Thanks, Taco Bell!
