Support a Cedar Rapids Animal Rescue at Barks & Brew 2021

Dogs and drinks? I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Our friends at Last Hope Animal Rescue in Cedar Rapids are excited to bring back their biggest fundraiser of the year! Barks & Brew will officially return to Newbo City Market this Saturday, August 21st from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Barks & Brews is a family-friendly, outdoor event with all sorts of fun activities. According to Last Hope's website:

"Barks & Brew features your favorite local breweries and wineries providing tasting samples, live music, silent auction items, a bounce house and OH YEAH...lots of adoptable dogs!!"

Not only will there be adoptable dogs at the event, but guests are welcome to bring their own pups, too (as long as they're vaccinated and friendly, of course).

There are two different levels of tickets that you can purchase for Barks & Brew 2021. A general admission ticket will get you access to the silent auction tent, six "pup-tents" where you can meet adoptable dogs, and the bounce house. If you want to upgrade to a VIP ticket, that includes everything involved with the general admission ticket, plus local beer and wine tasting and live music.

General admission tickets are $20, with kids 12 and under getting in for free. VIP tickets are $40 and require you to be 21 or older. All the proceeds will benefit Last Hope Animal Rescue, which does amazing things here in Eastern Iowa and beyond (we know that first-hand thanks to our weekly Furry Friday segment)! You can purchase your tickets in advance HERE, but they will also be available at the door on the day of the event.

Last Hope will also be one of the animal rescues taking part in 'Pup Crawl 2021' on Saturday, August 28th! You can read more about that HERE.
