Something’s Missing From the Commute Through Cedar Rapids

It's been a staple of the commute through the "S" curves in Cedar Rapids for years, but it's disappeared.

For years, there's been a lighthouse positioned next to the flag on the island in the middle of Cedar Lake, near the railroad tracks. Over the weekend, cruising out of town on Interstate 380, I looked over at it as I often do. However, this time it wasn't there! Has it been removed for repairs? Has it been stolen?
