Work is progressing quickly on the new University of Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City and this weekend your name can become part of the new building forever.

Saturday morning from 10 am to 1 pm, you're invited to stop by the Krause Plaza at Kinnick Stadium (825 Stadium Drive in Iowa City) and sign a beam that will become part of the new University of Iowa Children's Hospital. The first 500 people to sign it also receive a limited-edition gift. There's also a brief program at 10am.

They'll "Raise the Beam" into place between approximately 2:30 and 3 Saturday afternoon continuing the amazing transformation of the construction site. What once was a 35-foot deep hole is now a building 164-foot high building that will soon be making a huge difference in the lives of children and their families.

I can't wait to sign it myself and we're already looking forward to another Radiothon for Children's Miracle Network, in support of the hospital.
