Short’s Burger & Shine Will Open in Marion Next Week

Uptown Marion just got a little more delicious!

We told you about the opening of Goldfinch Tap + Eatery in the former Louie's Scoreboard building just a few short weeks ago, but the city of Marion has ANOTHER new restaurant to be excited about!

Short's Burger & Shine, whose burgers are a staple in Iowa City, has a brand new location at 780 11th St. in Marion. They announced on Facebook yesterday that they will officially open for business on Monday, October 14th. The post reads:

"We are having an extremely soft opening tonight and tomorrow night at 4pm. Stop by and help us practice! We will be closing Saturday/ Sunday to work out the kinks and opening again on Monday the 14th."

With the announcement also came a look at the menu. It not only includes extensive burger options, but also pizza, sandwiches, Cajun food, soups, salads, and appetizers.

It looks like quite a few people stopped by the restaurant for its soft opening yesterday, and the reviews are very positive! Here are a few from their Facebook page:

Short's will be open seven days a week from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., but the bar will remain open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
