RAYGUN is Selling Three Hilarious Shirts Designed by Iowa Kids [PHOTOS]

The next time you stop into RAYGUN in Cedar Rapids, you may want to pick-up one of their funny new t-shirts! Thanks to a recent contest, the business is now selling three shirts that were designed by local kids.

What Was the Contest For?

Once a month, NewBo City Market hosts an event called STEAM Saturday, sponsored by Collins Aerospace . According to NewBo's website, "STEAM Saturdays aim to captivate young minds by immersing them in the captivating world of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics." The STEAM Saturday: Design a T-Shirt With RAYGUN was held back on March 8th.

Who Won the Contest?

The post from RAYGUN on March 27th featured 24 shirts that were designed by local kids. The winning shirts, which were decided by likes on Facebook, were designed by Gunnar, Olivia, and Cael.

Gunnar's Design

Gunnar's shirt is red and features a dragon. The caption reads:  "CAN'T GASLIGHT ME, I'M REAL."

Olivia's Design

Olivia's shirt is black and includes a rocket ship and an astronaut in space. It says, "OUT OF... CEDAR RAPIDS." The cool thing about Olivia's design is that RAYGUN used her actual drawing for the shirt!

Cael's Design

Last but not least is Cael's shirt, which is light blue and features a T. rex wearing sunglasses. The message is simple: "JUST DO YOU, MAN."

How Can I Get One of the Shirts?

All three of the shirts are available now in both adult and kid sizes. Adult shirts are $24.95 and kids' shirts are $20. You can purchase them at the Cedar Rapids RAYGUN at 1028 3rd St SE or online HERE.

When is the Next STEAM Saturday?

The next STEAM Saturday at NewBo City Market will be held this Saturday, April 26th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. STEAM Saturdays: Frerichs Alpacas & Barnyard Discoveries will take place during EcoFest, which will also run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
