Iowa Families Share Stories of Kids Treated at Children’s Hospital [PHOTOS]
The University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital has provided top-notch care for so many families. Everyone who receives care there has nothing, but wonderful things to say about the care their child received, no matter the outcome.
Every year during the KHAK Radiothon, we talk to kids and their families that have been treated at the hospital, and every year we continue to be in awe of this amazing place. Hearing straight from the families about how they were treated and the care they received makes us so thankful to have this place in our own backyard. Especially when so many people travel from different states to receive care from the Stead Family Children's Hospital.
Bob James and Courtlin spoke with more families this year during the 24th Annual KHAK Radiothon for the Children's Miracle Network presented by Aflac. We heard touching, and sometimes heartbreaking stories. In case you weren't able to tune in the entire time during the two-day event (August 12-13), here are the stories of some of the children and their families that we spoke with this year.
