As I sat and watched the second half of Iowa's home loss to Purdue on Tuesday night, I'm guessing my thoughts were similar to other Hawkeye fans. What IS IT with this Purdue team that gives Iowa such fits? Last night Purdue out hustled the Hawks and outrebounded them too en route to a 77-68 win at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The loss drops Iowa to 20-10 overall and 11-8 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeye's ticket to the big dance is already safe. Purdue is playing for their postseason life, and it showed last night. The Boilermakers completed the two-game sweep of Iowa and has won four straight in the series. It was Iowa's only home loss of the Big Ten season.

Luka Garza scored 26 points for Iowa and set the new record for most points at Iowa during a single season. The record had stood for 50 years. No other Hawkeye had more than Joe Wieskamp's 10 points.

Iowa also said goodbye to seniors Riley Till, Bakari Evelyn, and Ryan Kriener.
