Prairie Point is Home to This Week’s ‘Teacher of the Week’

It's our favorite day of the week, which means it's time to honor another amazing educator here in Eastern Iowa! Our KHAK 'Teacher of the Week' winner is Matthew Erlandson, a science teacher at Prairie Point Middle School in Cedar Rapids!

He was nominated by Renee Boehler who wrote:

"My son is an 8th grader in Mr. Erlandson's class. He has been AMAZING for my son and so helpful. My son has Tourettes and he worked with my son on creating a presentation about Tourettes to inform his classmates about what he has. I was able to attend one of the classes and was amazed at all that went into the presentation. I was especially grateful that he would spend the time and effort to help my son be seen for who he is and not just his tics. I teach at Prairie and am so thankful for teachers like Mr. Erlandson that go the extra mile."
